Didn't We Almost Have It All?

It’s all about lines. Drawing lines in the sand and praying like hell no one crosses them.
But at some point we have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out; they fence you in. Life is messy, that's how we're made. So we can waste our lives drawing lines or we can live our lives crossing them. But there are some lines that are way too dangerous to cross. But I’ve found out that, if you're willing to take a chance, sometimes, the view from the other side is spectacular.

It’s a little unsetting when people leave. Life, as you know, changes in a matter of days. True, they’re coming back, but for now, the familiar comfort of knowing you’ll see them the next day is replaced by a feeling of forced detachment.
You go back to the regularity that existed before, and nothing seems out of the ordinary anymore. You go out, to the same places, with the same faces, say the same things and make the same jokes.

But the comfort, and the security in those places, faces and jokes still remain, and you cling to them with everything you have. You try to not get too attached, but you already are, and there’s nothing you can do to change it.

At the end of the day, what everyone really wants, is to be close to somebody. Just one person they could call their own. So when we keep our distance and pretend not to care, it’s usually just a farce. We pick and choose who we want to stay close to, and once we’ve picked them, we tend to stick close by.
No matter how much we hurt them.
No matter how much they hurt us.
The people who are still with you, at the end of the day, are really the only ones worth keeping. Yeah, close can sometimes mean too close. But sometimes, that invasion of private space is exactly what you need.

“Life is a mystery, everyone must stand alone.
I hear you call my name and it feels like
Home.

Friendship is too beautiful. It hurts.
You know, there are people, who are unsocial, seriously, I mean. Have you met any such person?
