Someone to Watch Over Me..

"Don’t say I’m out of touch
With this rampant chaos - your reality..
I know well what lies beyond my sleeping refuge
The nightmare I built my own world to escape.."

                                                        --Evanescence
                                                           'Imaginary'

I realized as a kid, that I wasn’t one of those girls. The ones, who never got a pimple, always had people hate them because they’re pretty and smart, and yet want to be them anyway.

Me, I’m just plain unlucky.

I’m reminded of this episode of ‘Charmed’ which talked about our guardian angels. Yeah, apparently, we all have one.
You know those times when you almost fall, but suddenly miraculously find your footing..?
Guardian angel.
*nods head sagely*

See, I’m not as lucky.
When I trip, I fall.
When I like a boy, he asks my friend out, or, goes away somewhere else.
I find my soul sisters, and one moves to another college, and the other to another time zone.
When I come to class five minutes late, the professor’s on time and I’m not allowed in, but some of my classmates waltz in fifteen minutes late, and are easily let in because the professor’s late as well.
My brother drops his phone on the ground.
Nothing happens.
I drop mine.
LCD cracks.
Twice.

My aura of bad luck extends beyond my own physical being as well these days.
The other day, I looked at a street lamp, and it broke and fell off.
Broke.
And fell off.
I kid you not.
I have witnesses to prove this really happened.

Then the next day, I enter Salt Lake, and the power goes off.
The whole of Salt Lake is plunged into darkness.
All because I came.

Tutorial lists are put up I college.
And I get assigned to the PRo of professors.
Sure, why not..?
I go to a fest and bring back four certificates and two jute bags.
So, of course, I deserve the PRo right..?

This is an earnest request to my guardian angel.
Wherever you are, come back.
I’m tired.
And just sad.
I need you now.
More than Ever.
Please.

P.S. I'm in a really whiny mood.

Read the book 'Summoning Spirits' by Konstantinos.Perhaps that will help pull your guardian angel in. But beware, it can also bring murderous demonic entities and then...-gulp-***

In a nutshell, it was a really interesting read. I like your blog.Well crafted.
